Disillusionment

You are cartilage when I need bone A caravan when I need a home You are a breeze when I need a hurricane Insanity when I want sane I am a liar when you need truth You are not evidence when I need proof I am lost when you need to be found You are wings and I am the ground You are the ocean but I am the sky You ebb with the tide when I need to fly You are a predator and I am your prey You want blood whilst I run away I am a chapter from a different book You are Peter Pan and I'm Captain Hook You are a dandelion, free to move I am a baobab, stuck in my groove You are the sunset, I'm the sunrise I feel empty yet I'm whole in your eyes You are a mountain that I just can't climb You are the beat but I am the rhyme You love the winter, I love the spring I want forever, you want a fling I am a constant when you are change When I need normal, you are strange You are the dark when I am the light I am peace whilst you want to fight I am heads and you are tails When I need love, your love fails I am innocent, you've done it all When I need to hear from you, you never call I am disillusioned, my love for you broke I am the fire, you're only smoke.
