Dissapearing
My existential crisis has become The life you have to live My rollercoaster rides The ones you choose to choose Your happiness has become The catcher’s mitt for my sorrows Until one day I fear that What resides inside me Will overshadow the strength in you I rely on your being there As much as I expect that you won’t be Some day you will get tired And as I force myself to think about that day The pain is more than I can take The absence of your smiles, your eyes The sound of your voice Your heart beat next to mine I can’t ask you to stay So I’ll push you out the door I am losing my mind today While sanity prevails tomorrow As my pieces break apart I wonder if you’ll notice That today there is less of me I feel myself disappearing into myself And I wonder if you even know that I am still here That I have loved you as I will always love you
