Don’t Pretend
Don’t pretend. I know you don’t care. If you did. I wouldn’t be broken. If you did. You’d look in my empty stare. You’d see all the pain I keep in. Don’t pretend. It is not real sympathy. If it was. I would have awoken. If it was. My knees wouldn’t be so rickety. Punishment without the need of sin. Don’t pretend. You know how it feels. If you did. You’d break wide open. If you did. You’d be crushed underneath. My heart becoming more like tin. Don’t pretend. You will never be of help. If you could. Would my cheeks be soakin’? If you could. Don’t you think I’d done it my self? This must hurt more than a million pins. Don’t pretend. Your words lack substance. Empty words don’t mean a thing. Empty words you say without reluctance. My patience for wasteful excuses is paper thin. So do me a favor will you don’t pretend that you were ever my friend.

I am simply put a lost soul coming to terms with the sometimes harsh realties of life. Learing the complex intricacies of world we live by trying to understad both the beauty and brutishness of it all.
