Dream gig

Notes stream like a long rainbow snake, the public sways along to the sounds that I make, the crowd is huge, but broken, divided, my puppets, they move whenever they're guided. Nerves aren't an issue, I'm calm and composed, I'm no longer feeling alone and exposed, fingers confident as they run down the neck, the melodies keep the growing masses in check. The finishing song is always the best, the crowd are sounding like something possessed, but just as the final note is struck, I wake up to this world, here, where I'm stuck. I was having writer's block when trying to write a song on the guitar, and I tried to imagine my dream gig. All opinions welcome.
