Dreaming Up Inspiration

“Are you ready yet?” “Indeed I am love, you bet.” Battery low signals on both our cells, These familiar feelings keep ringing up bells, You’ve missed so much, and I the same, I smile to myself as I pronounce your name, Its night already, time does not wait, I was breathless when I saw you at your gate, You’re insanely beautiful, especially in that dress, You smiled so sweetly and said “babe you’re the best” You fixed my tie then I took your hand, So weak in the knees I could barely stand, This is heaven, your presence, the bliss, Not another being could make me feel as this, I led you out on the moonlit floor, The fireflies sparkling, not a wall or door, We begin to dance to the melody of our love, For the biggest audience ever – the stars above, Suddenly I notice the tears on your face, Your smile says it all, and this perpetual embrace, You lead me off, far from this world, All I hope to be is here, with you, not another girl, Eye contact bearing souls, mine to thee, As you whispered, read my mind, “kiss me”, I begin to speak, but there’s a hush, At the very instant both our lips touch, My heart is yours, I admit defeat, I could simply die now, my soul complete, So much is uncertain, so much untrue, I though will forever and always love you, This life may be a struggle, even a fight, But its worth it, all under this milky twilight.
