Dreams
Baby's breath, And cradles, A warm hearth, And worn tables... Smiles, And wiles, Hugs, And homespun rugs... Kisses, And cuddles, Warm nights of love, And again all the above... This was our future, This was our world, This was our dream, But it would seem... You've lost that gleam. The warmth in your eyes, Cooled... The brightness in your smiles, Dimmed... And you've no idea, How you've destroyed me... My heart calls to yours, My soul's crippled to all fours... But you've shut me out, Without a single route, Back to me... So I'll sit in the cold, Staring into your world, Waiting... For you... For our dream... I love you still, For now, And forever more, No until.
