Drifting
Our ship has sunk, It hit an iceberg. Tragic. I watched as she broke in two and as you were swept away. Our friendship waving goodbye as it went under. Band and all. In the aftermath I sat down and wept salty tears. Like the still sea around me, dead. Empty. As far as my eyes could see Alone. You long gone, rescued maybe the ship, broken, under miles of water. But I'm still here, cold, alone, Scared. And praying. Drifting off, waiting for this small boat to spring a leak. Copyright © quraz
