Dues

It's astonishing what gray there is in emptiness, filling a void with reason is like pursuing the chupacabras or staring into hell and finding that it is you who stares back . . . I have taken my turn with the silence, and paid my dues to the hungering, hulking chaos called life, and I will win, or else I at least expect to.
