Virtuous lady of creamy complexion Are you in quest of some fervent affection? Lately, I've noticed a change in your bearing, Easy to see by the smile you are wearing. Not that I’m making assumptions upon it; Trust me, this is no presumptuous sonnet. In fact, I am merely declaring intention; Now that I have your wholehearted attention, Entertain, please, the idea of a romance. Picture the scene: you and I in a slow dance Or walking alone late at night by the river, Eagerly sharing a quivering shiver. May this Valentine’s poem at last be persuasive So you will cease being so nimbly evasive
