Earthbound Soul
I swear I saw her the other day At one of the places I knew she’d haunt Shining and weightless, there and gone I spoke, but she didn’t seem to hear I couldn’t touch her, anyway Or hold my ghost the way I’d want My friends tell me she’s moving on To find a better place than here She passed close by, and I felt a chill In arm’s reach of this apparition Going through the motions of Her life before we’d ever met I’ll call her spirit, though, I will When all the stars are in position I can resurrect our love I’ll wake with her one morning yet
