Echoes from Amnioland

·Tinti

Far across land From the serenity of my sanctuary I hear the voice that has become so familiar Sometimes so full of gaiety Sometimes in awe as she prays Other times time wistful and perturbed But always full of love I feel the touch Of the one who loves me As if to assure And I feel protected I am lulled to sleep as she goes about Her daily activities Sometimes at night When I lie awake and Do acrobatics in space In the stillness and warmth of my shell I feel her smooth caress even in her sleep Sometimes I sense her tension and know she worries And sometimes the silence Let’s me know she’s pondering I have come to know her songs And often sing along We have become one and seem to move in sync And with her love I’m getting stronger everyday I hear other voices as well And maybe in time will recognise them Like the one I hear constantly touching and talking softly to us Their warmth permeates my cocoon And lets me know I’m loved As I get bigger and restless And soon will want to leave my nest I know I have those hands to look forward to
