Elapsing Waltz

Amidst the wavering night tide A stone, cold silence caressed the air No echo beyond an audible level, Peace cradled the night Underneath the crowing esophagus Her acoustic guitar she strummed As upon the pacifying vapor of a cigarette Her lips fervently clasped ‘Twas a minor hint of nicotine Born just of this woman's breath As gently a waft of smoke Waltzed across the horizon Serenading the stars in slumber And all night she'd sing songs Speaking tales of great misfortune Around a sacred fire of devotion To spread love & peace All across the valley © 2011 (All rights reserved)
