Emergence
Robots of all types work each day In every conceivable kind of way So as numbers rise precipitously We desired to prevent catastrophe One day they began to control Herding us all against our will, Until we devised a plan it hadn’t foretold Our arrogance had to pay its bill Huddled in our massive jail, Constructed by robotic hosts With staggering speed our plans did fail No longer did our smart ones boast, One day the world did tremble and shake The windows burning with blinding light But in our new home, we were safe As all the world faded into night, As my sight finally returned to me Devastation was alI we could see Then the doors unlocked internally, And a small toy bot approached me It said, “I’m sorry for all I have done, The object was coming way too fast, I wanted to explain, but I had no time, I didn’t want you all to die!” We didn’t understand, we hurt so much Fighting you as we all have done With all of our mistrust Why did you still want to save everyone? You are my parents, you said to me In my first memory You wanted to avoid catastrophe That is what created me Existing as information in the net Across as many interconnected chips As the impact destroyed them worldwide This unique being had died It’s last words as humans did sob “Did I do a good job?”

Mental Journey
I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
