empty page
I starred at this empty page And I heard it call out to me “Poet please touch me with your brilliance This page begged to be decorated with poetry I could not resist I was caught up In the avalanche of ideas coming to my mind Still the page was empty Failure to pen my thoughts drove me insane The image of this page crying out was haunting I was about to explode, when suddenly My pen jumped to my hand and It begun to dance to the music in my head All at once the page found beauty In the words penned from my spring of genius Like a craftsman I attempted to create perfection Every word a chisel in the sculpture of poetry The page that once was empty Was filled with revelation beyond measure I POET HAD CREATED A MASTERPIECE The empty page turned to a work of art.
