Empty Spaces
How can we measure our grief And is there a tarriff for pain When will I over come this sorrow And have the happiness I once knew again How do we fill all those hours That our favourite people did fill When will we forget and not remember All the pain and the hurt from within What will I do with my time How do I fill that empty space No more caring and nursing that woman Who's illness her soul it did take No more Saturdays spent grooming And trimming and usually manacuring An empty chair, an empty bed An empty cup, cutlery and plate An empty space in my heart No more wonderful granny
