Endless Enigma
It's been and endless enigma since the last glass hit the table at the corner of 5th and broad street I'm not able to walk a straight line, my mind is is all blurry fists hit my lip in a phantom like flurry I advanced to the door while the floor was like water thoughts focused on my life and soon to be daughter I oughtta just quit, this is it, no more drinks my past quickly flashes everytime that I blink so I keep my eyes open hopin this will all end I feel I'm the one but my spoon it won't bend I repent with a scream and a yell I can't tell it seems that this dream was obsene till I fell and scraped my left knee could it be that I'm real and pain in my brain is placed in memory cells that the energy felt is just potentially fuel I got the wood for a home i'm just needin some tools and nails for the cross, i've been lost for a while jesus i really need this is, whats the cost for a vial its been shot after shot, i mean vodka on rocks thats got my brain spots all on lock when i jot why do it, clear fluid, is the serum of truth when they ask i just laugh they just hear an excuse no addiction, y'all are trippin, i'm just havin some fun i'm not getting all tipsy i'm simply havin just one maybe two, i'm seein three, go ahead and pour four a nice vibe at five, six or seven, maybe eight, i'll shoot nine for the score lets do about ten all my friends just can't stand it the fires in my soul the alcohol it just fanned it i didn't plan it, i swear, i dont care what you think whats the harm, move along, if you aren't here to drink i'm callin a taxi, actually i might walk this is new jersey my friend, we don't live in new york i head for the turnpike i'm in fantasy land i get home all alone, i'm no family man i lay in bed, put my head on the pillow and cry into sheets and weep like a willow damn i need help, i don't feel happy and strong but i just dream of the bottle and move gladly along its so wrong.....
