Enlightened
All my life I've travelled unaware of my destination Seeking out pastures new, greener grass and my liberation Moving from place to place but seemingly making no ground Frustration breaking out screaming but making no sound. Been at many a crossroad, taken many a wrong turn No idea were im going, my future a major concern Long roads heading nowhere, the horizon my only gauge All the dreams I had evaporate in the planning stage. Looking back to see were Ive been, the past just a haze Ambition driving me forward while i attempt to escape lifes maze Suddenly I'm static locked in joyous bewilderment I see the answers in your eyes. A wonderful sense of enlightment Now my vision is clear. Its you ive been searching for This moment in time when are souls connected has left me wanting more So all the paths I walked, distance travelled as my passion withdrew i followed the roads and just like Rome they led eventually to you. There is no need to be frightened. We all need to be enlightened.
