Eve of Inspiration Part 2 of Part 3
X. We’ve been together since were children Though you were taken from me young As was I who was departed As was you that I came from And I can’t impress discreetly What I’m offering to say It was you possessed slowly All the words I dared to say. XI. We are sharing timeless genius Endless journey. Mortal youth. We are nearing the immortal, the persistent, the recluse! In ways that turning inward presses outward further truth Of a sacrifice to be in-vowed in something holy, new! XII. I never knew the reason why you seemed so oft’ly bright I never understood so often hearing you at night And I’ll never know the reason for the aching, and the pain Nor the necessary weeping, nor the torment for the gain But hesitant and waiting I stood longer, more ashamed, Knowing something without nothing, having little left to claim- I understood your mercy As I hope you see mine now But you came to me in cloak and gale- I come to your dreams now! XIII. The vision plays its role that way, before you know its game It’s entitled to its insolence, And pardoned to remain It takes liberties with feelings and takes property To rein On your parade or on your banner On your mansions and your name- XIV. Be vigilant its due repose And watch for quiet creeping Ever subtle it can come and go And leave you heavy weeping. XV. I control the life we alter You control the way it plays We’re a team that can’t be mastered Needing both our souls to blame There is no need to holler, protest There is no alternate, solution same We are inseparable, eternal, We are the genius, its love we gain! XVI. Now we’re writing verse together And we compromise to meet our aim You have a spirit to enrapture I have a journey to reclaim I came to you when heart was forming In your breast, though confuse leads And you to me when mine was mounting Dream upon the wicked dream But no more did you mean to harm me Though I to you though it would seem That the two of us could feel forever If our hands unite, and hearts release. XVII. There is no limit to our boundary And time has come to form this bond With due awareness and response, now Ability to choose if this be fairness Be the life the presents wants, and sure demands I’ve waited eons for this moment, upon thousands You have waited centuries at best And as the center shifts, as does the diction, So does lovely narrator in jest. XVIII. Every moment that I hold you in my heart, and in my mind The songs of birds a fraction louder precious to my ear does find.
