Evening Tide

Darkness comes too early; steals in through the door, unheard. With nothing left to give but heart-breaking devotion- I sink to my knees and whisper my joy at your fleeting presence. Clear shock waves return your answer on an evening tide. Love sets sail again on an uncharted course and I breathe once more; unseeing, but knowing.
