Everlasting Light

Whilst body is exhausted here and craves a rest from mortal fight, my soul bequeaths a part of me to shine an everlasting light for you, who bravely carry on, concealing rage behind your tears. No matter how it might seem now, my light will guide you through all fears for you shall never be alone, not even in your darkest hour. As you have always trusted me, trust now in this immortal power. I shall live on in you my love; your sweet breath fans the light of me. I vow to keep the faith with you in every joyful memory but in return I beg of you, do not concede to mournful thought; your life, still precious, must go on so our eternal peace is bought.

Started writing poems at age 14, lyrics a lot later and am still doing both to my astonishment. Along the way I wrote a couple of novels and they are published by Amazon. I am gloriously happy in my marriage, after 50 years and I am relieved to say...
