it doesn’t matter, you can try again, 
are the words I always hear 
why is everyone so dismissive 
of something I held so dear! 
No one seems to understand 
The magnitude of my hurt 
If you were just a bit older 
Their words they would revert 
They would tell me they are sorry 
Their eyes would look so sad 
Yet because you were so tiny 
They don’t care, it makes me so mad 
For that short time you were my world 
You meant everything to me 
Just because you weren’t with me long
