Everything ventured nothing gained

·Shallo

We run circles around each other; On tenterhooks waiting for the other to fold To meet the other at the other end. But like an old rope hackneyed or spent When one end wants to perform the other end’s withered from previous attempts it stands erect and stiff but vehemently denies the other connection Ironically Pride doesn’t come Before the fall but It comes between You falling naively in love Either way you are stuck In constant whirlwinds Of meaningless romances Persistently swept off your feet Like wild hurricanes or wild firestorms; Infernos so hot and steamy, Though passionate and spirited at the moment they occur They are naturally devastating Disastrously natural Though picturesque To the lens of the distant observer They too are Natural disasters That are bound to leave You Eroded Worn, Broken and torn Apart When the heat turns to dust Your earth will turn to Cloudy dark dust That suffocates And leaves you breathless And teary-eyed at the end of it all
