Failing
Barren pages stretch out before me insurmountable sand dunes and I am the desert uninhabited and dry. The question paper, written in greek, stares back at my blank face In desperation I listen to the exam room noises a silent mix of blocked noses and polite coughs the occasional clatter of a dropped pen the awful tick that tolls for the death of another second. The sound of life, slipping through our fingers like water that can never be contained seconds linger into minutes and minutes into hours. silence envelops me as I fail again.
