Faith
Victor had moved to the city with Lucinda’s pet Siamese cats after the accident and settled in a simple apartment in a quiet suburb. For years there was nothing that he loved about his life there, except for his job in the industrial district. He would turn up extra early every day, just to be greeted by that faceless building which looked like the old man in the newspaper stand who always wore the same crumpled grey jacket. Then Olga came along. From the minute she arrived at the company Victor’s life changed. He instantly noticed that she had the same genuine free spirit and passion for life as Lucinda. Olga was also brave and intelligent, this along with her bouncy blonde curls and sparkling brown eyes made him shy whenever she was near. Victor cringed as he thought of that morning when she smiled at him on her way past his desk. He was so nervous that he accidentally knocked a stack of files onto the floor. The memory lingered a little longer before Victor began to wonder if he’d ever walk the streets without it bringing everything back to haunt him. Would Olga understand why Victor never left his home when he wasn't at work? Or why he sometimes spent the whole week at work? Sleeping at his desk and changing in the washroom. Why he could never forget what happened to Lucinda? Why he could never stop blaming himself? Victor knew that Olga was special, and she made him feel different. But it had been so long and Victor wasn't sure how to do it or what to say. So this day is just like every other, Victor just sits and smiles whenever she passes. Hoping she doesn't stop to talk or ask him about his life. While deep down inside he keeps telling himself "one day I'm going to find the faith to tell her how I feel"

Just a dreamer and a believer. A seeker of beauty and a creator. Then I go back to my day job. But I love writing, that's when I'm me! Hope my words mean something to someone I guess. Thanks for reading.
