Fancy Dancer

Fancy Dancer I walked through the door. She was alone on the floor. She was dancing, yes, she was really prancing. Her hips they did sway And as she looked my way I heard her say.......... "Come, dance with me today". Her moves - my mind they did entrance With thoughts of love and romance. I couldn't stop staring, she moved without caring. All the men's eyes were upon her. I said, "yes - if you would, dance with me if you could I love the way you move". "Of course I'll dance - and you've nothing to prove. Most others just love to watch, and for you - I'll turn it down a notch". "Can you keep up with me - I dance night and day?" I held her close as the music did play. In my arms she did sway She whispered softly, "I don't dance for free. There's a fee to dance with me". So there on the floor - to my heart I gave her the key. She smiled and danced away, leaving me alone on the floor. So very close to the door. She turned, smiled and said................... "If you are hurt - I accept no part. You knew I was a dancer from the very start. It was YOU who gave me the key to your heart. I'll put it in that special place With all the other keys. If you get lonely and want to dance Just call on me and say please. I love to dance and I love to prance. Just take a glance and maybe a chance That I'm all alone on the floor" Yes, she can dance and she will prance With almost any man. I saw her hips sway as she danced away And to another I heard her say............. "I'm a fancy dancer. I love to dance, I love to prance - Dance with me today.
