So Bob and Sugar Caught a cab home They were happy To finally be alone Bob asked Sugar “Did you know that I write music?” Sugar said “Wow that’s awesome good things come to those who wait It all depends how they choose to use it.” Bob said “Thanks Listen I wrote you a song And I was hoping that you would learn the words And help me to sing along.” Sugar said “Sure that’s fine Hold on let me grab a bottle of wine.” Sugar said “Okay I’m ready to hear your song And I am prepared to sing along.” Bob started to sing the song: Sugar you are the greatest thing That has ever happened to me I can’t live without you Baby can’t you see I’ve grown so attached to you Even though I’ve only known you for seven weeks I knew that from the moment I saw you that you were the one And just like your name you are so sweet (Chorus) Baby baby can’t you see Without you in my life I am incomplete I want us to stay together forever There is always hope baby so never say never Sugar started to sing along And together she and Bob sang in perfect harmony At the end of the song Bob said to Sugar “You are a special part of me.” Sugar said “Wow Bob that was a great song You should write more And I believe that deep inside your soul There is more than one answer that you are searching for.” Sugar said “Put your hand against my heart And I’ll put my hand against yours I am trying to pinpoint but I just can’t seem to find a source It’s like we are meant to be We are meant to live together happily.” Bob said “Look Sugar it’s time for me to go I had a great time But I’ve been gone for three days and by now My mom is probably putting up flyer signs Sugar gave Bob a soft kiss There was no denying That her love for him was bliss Sugar hugged Bob And said goodbye Then she shed a tear But Bob told her not to cry Sugar said “I’m sorry it’s just that I don’t want you to go I’m so in love with you Even more than you know.” Sugar escorted Bob outside And he got in the boat And once again Nick and John Set the boat afloat By Glenn McCrary © 2009 Glenn McCrary (All rights reserved)
