Farewell
Long years culminating to this moment An era, an eternity approaches the end But isn't it too soon? Tears have just begun to swell Farewell, my friends! Farewell! Since forever heart craved for the climax, the triumphant symphony Why do then I now only hear discord, deafening cacophony Am I to move forward, ignoring this ominous knell? Farewell, my friends! Farewell! You were my anchor when I was adrift Alone I must steer my boat henceforth, through this mist Future beckons yet heart hankers to stay where you dwell Farewell, my friends! Farewell! You taught me laughter and smiles Hand in hand we achieved miles Finish line is near, here rings the bell Farewell, my friends! Farewell! My refuge, my sanctuary, my niche With you, dreams seemed within reach But now it's time to say goodbye, continue the journey as an empty shell Farewell, my friends! Farewell! With a bleeding heart, I turn away But lifetime of bliss spent with you shall forever with me stay Words fail me; how much you shall be missed, I cannot tell Farewell, my friends! Farewell.
