Fatal attraction
I saw you today as I rode home from the bar. You'd had a few, I could tell by the way you were waltzing Out of time with the traffic. It was as if you had The weight of the world hanging from your head. Forcing you to keep your eyes on the distorted and out of focus pavement below. Concentrating , trying to engage your brain with your out of sync footsteps. Walking yourself home to pass out on your bed with no food in your belly and no reason to undress. Just to wake up and do it all again tomorrow. God forbid this six month hangover will catch your shadow. A recipe for disaster when you wake to early and your head kicks in that you had a life before this. You had it good before you turned to the bottle and found solace in the pub. You had a beautiful gf who loved you to bits until you spent more time chatting with the bar maid who was secretly off her head on Prozac. I had a moment of self hatred .
