Fever Dreams

In the darkest hours of the night I have fever dreams of you Trapped in a place I no longer want to be I sleep restlessly, Bed sheets binding me Sweat soiling purity Fever, Burning me. Unmistakable smells, unmistakable noises Those unforgettable whispers Fever brings back the dead A black magic working its ancient evil. Why can’t the dead stay buried? Fever dreams savaging my body Ruthlessly it grips me, twists me and dirties me. A man on his deathbed, I am haunted.
