As darkness surrounds me And threatens to crush the brittle shell That protects my inner core The shiny exterior I show to the world I despair That I will be lost forever. I look up At a bright shining light Pushing back the darkness Holding the world at bay. I realise That it is you! Your radiance, blinds me Your warmth, Overwhelms me I am reminded, Again and again Of the fierce fire of your love It surrounds me And protects me from harm
