Filling Shoes

11 Dec 2015

·Mental Journey

From the time we are little Standing in our parents shoes Telling ourselves, someday, These shoes will be mine. We worry about living up to The expectations set by others I stand here pondering A pair of familiar shoes They will soon be empty… I have found myself often Wishing I could be as good as him, Able to fill those shoes Today I realized That’s the wrong way to think I am me. I am unique I will wear my own shoes Someday, my shoes Will be parked next to his They both will inspire others Set your shoes next to ours Let’s build a wall of shoes Each and every one An example to others. Be proud of who you are And stop trying to fill Someone else’s shoes

Mental Journey

I am on a journey of the mind. Contemplating the universe on every scale, and doing a complete introspective exploration. I may never be a literary academic, but I share my humble thoughts in hope that they may inspire others.
