Finding Life, Embracing Death
To watch a life be destroyed, To be broken in to pieces Like a child with a toy. To look into the distance And see nothing but death, To see a friend breathe their final breath. To see a lie be told, And be filled with hate and deceit, To give up and face defeat. To look back on life, With disgust in your eyes, And not be able to remember any highs. To look behind And see the child you should have been, To want to forget all you have seen. To hold it all Close to your heart, To let it all tear you apart. To be bitter, Old and wrong, And know you won’t live for long. To find your faith, In a final breath, To find life then embrace death.
