Finding You
i found you on a rock-shelf coast one bright spring day the thunderous waves so powerful and free i threw the ring as far out as i could and watched you disappear into the sea i found you walking through the trees one summer day delicious cool within the forest shade you touched my neck, my hot skin sudden chill and goosebumps, in that darkened glade i found you climbing up a hill one autumn day the vista spread below me, up on high the wide horizon filling all my soul while on the lively breeze you breathed a sigh i found you listening to a song one winter day the music leading me to your refrain i heard your voice, remembered all the words and sang them to myself again tomorrow i will find you once again somewhere i will not need to search … you will be there
