What is the difference Between the land of the living And the land of the dead? How short is this moment Which the so called present Is currently composed of? Any life of a person Lasts exactly this long Here is the illusion: Now is actual to us It lasts into the fluffy future Perpetually consistent And so it confuses us We ask what it means to live But the answer is simple The land of the living And the land of the dead Is one and the same The one is as static As the other and means Just as very little And so you get to see More than the meaning of life But the meaning of both You stop being a human You stop being afraid of pain You stop lying to yourself You see that the universe Is a part of something bigger Not a flower that unfurls Time has already passed What is in your heart sees this For it is not even human Neither dead nor alive You are looking in the wrong Place for what meaning is In a pre-ordained chain Of events making history for The fish to jump out of Consequence is physics It is a part of something greater And yet it remains unseen
