Fishing trip
Today I went fishing. I cast my net wide, trawling the waters of my mind. At length I drew it up, straining with words. Many merely flotsam, flavourless, fit only for bait. A few appetising but too small. I threw them back, letting them grow to maturity for my next trip. And then... a new species of word, perfect in length, resonant in colour, with flavours that tripped enticingly across my speech buds. Now that's a catch I can use. I will take it home and bake it. It will garnish my poem nicely.
