For Dear Life

To the memory of the journey from my eyes through yours into the chamber where our souls would forever live in rest, And the kiss that cleansed my consciousness of contrived conflict, finding peace in the simplicity of purest love I hold on for dear life. To the foundation of fidelity and my promise to you to sweeten your days and to nourish the desire, from once upon a newer time that only your smiles can satisfy I cling for dear life. Through cloudier skies and from loftier heights As we grow in and out of the first sight of love In battle with monsters for more of nothing to fulfill the illusions of emptiness For the future our dreams will have inspired For the treasure we will have acquired I will stand I will hope I will fight for dear life.

When there are too many words, I write. When there aren't enough, I sing.
