Foreign Euphoria

·Forward Enigma

I see your face, it’s riddled in waste Complacent and pure I’m not sure why, but I welcome this foreign euphoria Your face within my reach, buried beneath my feet I need you here with me Foul thoughts bind my mind, trying to grasp what I can’t find I’m lost in a blasphemic pandemic The rocket’s rain meets my eyes, lips and face I’ve found my place, but everything around me is suffocating Swallowed by the Mouth of Chaos Death and famine choke the air, plague the land and poison the water The pulse of the environment around me halts to a stand still And I am left alone to bear witness to this I miss the simple, yet complex design But the times and events that have come to pass, blast me into a state of shock I try to block-out these incomprehensible, sporadic series of events But a higher authority has a deeper plan for me I continue to spectate, whilst everything withers and dies Flies and locusts swarm and spread Everything is dead and I focus to find truth in this seemingly ridiculous, yet tragically fragile and destructive reality, but failed So with this, I disclose these impure thoughts With a refined look, accompanied with amazement and a sublime feeling, they are diminished But the damage remains stained within me I now stay reclusive to the world as I hurl myself into darkness Housing my tears and my fears, Anyone lured-in will receive the grand tour, experiencing the pain I’ve indured, the agony I’ve heard, and the violence I’ve seen Even a hardened blaspheme would cry So with a sigh, I’ll kiss the eyes and lay to rest My head on the Breast of Life, I feel blessed… This is my foreign euphoria.
