Forever and a Day
The stars were out tonight and the moon was shining bright. There was a chilling breeze and we held each other tight. It was like the whole world had vanished and we were all alone No one could interrupt this momentous time, we called our own. The cicadas made their courting calls and wolves howling at the moon The crickets made their buzzing sound and the rooster roost too soon. It was only 9 p.m. but it was like everyone was getting ready to turn in I couldn't think of a more appropriate time, this was the perfect scene. As I gazed into her eyes I thought of all the things that I could say. But my mind went blank instead and my smile turned into dismay I then reached deep into my heart and soul and asked her anyway Will you be my wife and she answered me, forever and a day
