When they look at me They see something different Someone different They do not see The part of me that used to be The whole of me Fragments Of my former self They glint in the sun But in the darkness They are invisible The darkness swallows them They cannot satisfy his infinite hunger He goes on In search of more In search of someone else’s Fragments When they look at me They see something different Someone different They see The darkness.
