Alone; How most dread to be. Without anyone; It's how I wish to be. Free from support; From critics who cannot act benign. Free from this lie I live for you; I need my own time. I'm not here to be your punching bag; I'm not here to be your fix. So just lay off of me for just this time; Do something else to get your kicks. Because I am much more tolerant; Than anyone you care for will be; When you try to get your kicks from them; They'll throw you on the street. Just because I care for you; You don't have the green light; To mop your problems up with me; When I won't put up a fight. I'm losing my patience, honey, It' getting harder to act a fool; How aboutsomething to make it bearable; To keep my cool with you? There's just one thing I'm asking for; In this fight for my dignity.; Set me free for just a moment, And I promise, I'll come back.
