This is a spoken word piece i did on the topic of homosexuality; if you havenot noticed, i do not follow the crowd. i do not expect many to like this, but it is my favorite spoken word piece ive done. it may now sound right unless you read it aloud.... You want me to hide when you come around, Put my head down, and be ashamed of who i am, Expectin' me, to be like them, You know, The ones you force not to cover. You want me and my lover, To come to family dinners with each other's brothers and pretend like we jus' friends, Jus' so you won't be beffin' with me, When you ain't the one sleepin with me, But sleepin' on me. And I'm not gon' be silent, or lonely to meet your requirements. And quite frankley, all this is jus' becoming tiring, Cuz i swear, everybody's Jesus got nailed to the same cross. So i dare someone to tell me how a homosexual feel, lost in her own smoke. You got more respect for those that push dope, And then choke on your own spit when you see 2 gay people sittin' in a restaurant, start stressin' out, as if we're contagious, people sayin' lifestyles are jus' phases, turnin' fits into rages, when people choose to live free. Expectin' people like me, to be somethin' we're not. Well you got it all wrong, I'm not gon' change the words to my song, so you can dance to my beat, I'ma keep bobbin' my head and movin' my feet as if i don't hear you, and i don't feel you, but the Man upstairs, So when someone says, "I hate gay people," I'm like, "Who cares," They can take that up with their own God, It's jus' so odd to hear people preachin' love, Claimin' they so right with the Man up above. They teach the congregation to hate those who ain't straight, But when I make it to Heaven, I'ma sit and wait on those who are gonna be late, Or not makin' it, Cuz they standin' on Earth fakin' it, Receiving the word of God, Takin' it and twistin it, misleadin' those who listening. God said, "Let there be woman and man, and anybody who don't understand is goin' to Hell," Well you tell me, When you see women beat by men, When men molest kids under 10, When people smoke cigarettes, When people cheat on their husbands on the enternet, When 2 un-wed people sexually touch- Hell, it's a sin if we eat too much! So jus' clench your fist and be glad we made it to 2007, Leave your judgement at home, And let God determine who goes to Heaven. I'm willing to die for what i believe in, So try me, Arms out, Crucify me. This is your one chance to do it again, Just make sure when I leave here, I die for everybody's sin.
