From a Child's eyes

The little boy held back his tears As he hung on to his mom in fear Those men are coming to take him away He would rather they would leave and say Son you can stay here with your family But in his mind he is creating his own fantasy. As he is being pulled from his mother's arms The boy screamed and yelled as if being harmed His little mind kept playing the scenario over and over He couldn't believe that this men could be such ogres A monster who took him from the only home he knew He ignored everything and did not listen to his point of view. Some children are being pulled from their home without merit Instead of helping or teaching the family to learn how to parent. These stories repeat everyday throughout our civilized country It is easier for any caseworker to remove a child and to take custody. We are good at reacting to situations instead of teaching prevention. Why not equip the parents with the kind of tools to reduce the tension There are times that children sometimes need to go to a different ambience But at least try to leave them in a place where there is love and consonance.
