From where we are
The dark continent, the third world these amongst so many other names we've been called. Black Africa! our motherland, deserted by many who've flown across the seas in search of greener pastures on the "other land". The slumbering giant, robbed of every sense of pride and dignity as inccesant tumults disfigure her beautiful landscape and disturb her serenity. war torn, poverty sricken, the lingering effects of colonialism and the invasion of white imperialist, pls dont misjudge my statements and pls dont take me for a rascist, the truth must be told and if we're sincere and bold we'll face it. But out of the belly of this giant i hear rumlings a new generation arises, and out of the giants mouth i see them tumbling. These one's are different, they are armed with the truth and they have a deep sense of pride in their roots, destined to succeed they march forth mot breaking ranks determined to show proof. Who are these?!and where have they come from? passionate for change they remain in the land poised to turn around the very situations the others run from. They enjoy freedom of mind they're unashamed of their history, they're backed up by the divine and from their midst i hear the chant of victory. As they mingle with the people they set at liberty the oppressed their courage is contagious, their confidence is lethal, they refused to be suppressed. In their bossom lies the change we've long desired, they refrain not from sacrifice, they are willing to pay the price required. But what with political instability, and moral decadence still inflicting scars? Well, the "blacker" the night gets the brighter the stars. These will in no doubt influence the world, and this we shall do From Where We Are.(Black Africa, our motherland)
