I look deep into your eyes saddened by the way they look back at me I remember the days when they sparkled at my very touch, and lit up to the sound of my voice You told me the thought of me brought tears of joy to your eyes That the love you had for me emitted like rays of sunlight from inside of you But now I see dark skies as if a devastating rainstorm is on the horizon I’m deeply agitated as I ponder what it was that took your brilliance from you Gripped by fear at the thought of inquiring about your distance from me Afraid because I know.
