GET OVER IT!
GET OVER IT! All right… I need to get over it! Then get busy With this business of living They say journeys begin with just one step But the thing I need most now, is a reason to get up! I get up in the morning Plant my feet on this Earth The first thing I think of is where will I live? Sleeping in my car Will work for food Attending a job fair Of the pompous and rude vacant stares in a line that has no end mountains of paperwork all ask the same thing transfer you here transfer you there when the truth of the matter’s that we just don’t care uncaring comments from callous interviewers when I say I’m a writer they question me where? Inhumane people Privy to the masses The unemployed swarming like flies to molasses Get on the internet And click on jobs work from home become a chef maybe stuff envelopes so you can get rich till I’m too tired to even care I had enough Of this offensive world All right… I need to get over it! And then get busy with the business of indifference. WordPlaya, August 2009
