Ghosts of him
Her eyes bulged as the thoughts of him burned down her face in the form of tears, catching in the cracks of her soft bitten lips. Her mouth is dry.She tries to swallow the lump in her throat, but chokes on the pieces of her broken heart. Struggling for air, her hand trembles and arms shake as she wraps them around her knees and twists herself into the corner of her dark sacred room. The pain in her stomach grows as she cries harder. She drops her head to her knees allowing her hair to hide her face from the Gods eyes. Her eyes squeeze shut only torturing her mind with more vivid images of him.She throws her head back, grabbing and pulling at her hair, as if tearing out the memories of him.The pain of her loneliness only grows stronger taunting her and yelling in her ear.She screams back alerting un-listening ears.No one will come to her rescue. She can’t be saved. She shakes as her body is blanketed with a sheet of ice.The devils breath creeping down her spine, caging her in her own grief. by: Jade Smith
