God’s Country
I gazed upon a portrait of grandeur hung across this landscape of desire submerged myself into rippled pools of aquamarine, under the midnight-sky caught off-guard by her sister moon, who draped herself around my barren shoulders this soul-soothing blanket of tranquility sang me an ancient lullaby as a smile, broke the silence of my beating heart….
