Gorilla Mirror
It is a simple connection you have to make You know the hands reflecting in the lake You don't know the face yet but the hands They move when you move and you know them Open your mouth and the face in the lake Opens its mouth in sync with your own The connection is you know your own hands So you deduce the reflection is your own To arrive at the conclusion you have to Be aware of what your own hands look like Else never be able to make the connection To see your face you must know your hands Years later you learn how to make a mirror You place it in a jungle alongside a camera Watching the Gorilla bash the mirror angrily Intelligent yet doesn't know his own hands What does it take to be aware of your hands? To be able to take note of cause and effect When you do something there are consequences The premise is the understanding of yourself Who planted the concept of self within you? Yet you see many things you don't understand Like the Gorilla you bash against the mirror How could you make the simple connection? To understand you must be aware of something So when you know that you don't understand And you are angry with what you are faced with What you are not aware of is not your hands Neither is it your sense of self awareness Like the Gorilla you are missing a simple link But who will plant the required concept in you When what you have to understand is yourself

What are words without understanding and what is understanding without sense?
