Grandpa was an April's Fool
Grandpa was an April’s Fool Grandpa was an Aprils’ fool, Born on that very day. Not afraid to spin a joke In the most uncouth of ways. He loved to make the moonshine, Known all around the place. But never did I think that he, Would throw it in my face. When I was only four years old I helped to make my gramps a cake. For his “Happy Birthday” gift, We traveled forth to take… Grandpa was extra jolly. I asked what he had to drink. He winked at Dad real slyly Seemed he was in the pink! He told me it was apple juice, The cup was quite my size. He said that I could have a drink… Quite to my surprise! I grabbed the cup and threw it back, I was thirsty to my toes. It hit my throat and burned like heck, Then came back out my nose. IlaMae Stucki © 4/2/12

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
