"Green Lantern's Light"

Evil lay amidst my sight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I stand trembling as one, while the crowds flow around me. My brother's knees grow weak, they crawl atop the ground Fear turns them inside-out as they weep, souls sucked through skin as their fate is bound. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fear surrounds my body as I struggle. I may not be strong, I may not be smart But when my day turns darkest, pure will fills my heart ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Their hope breathes into my lungs my strength bursts it's bodily limits, as I feel them all; Every living-breathing thing, short and tall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I float here as their ashes fly past. The spark inside me explodes, energy bursts my veins My power blots out the sky, behold. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ When my sky turns black, I will stand, I will hold all fear back!
